Discussion
What criteria do we use in choosing different tools?
Often we know what we want, but need to know what is available online.
Site management
– after the site has been uploaded, the next big task is maintaining, updating, expansions, unanticipated, ensuring that all people involved in development are coordinating and working together.
Teams
– 80% participants have a team, consisting of (combination) content providers, technical, graphics etc.
[Malin] EWL has a lot of contents. External consultant came and did something, tools thrown in – demo version of editor. [Pi] How often do you sit with team to discuss work? [Malin] Discuss in terms of moral support, but not project (web) work.
[Cheekay] AWORC – team meeting and mailing list for informing everyone. Updates mean little space to consult with rest of working members
(see whiteboard/paper diagrams)
Demonstrations
